Some may come to give their natural hair a break from chemical processes, grow out a bad haircut, or have that dream length they haven't been able to get to on their own. Their decision for hair extensions isn't rooted in insecurity but in the desire to amplify their existing confidence.
The IBE Difference
Traditional extension wefts are produced in bulk in factories. They are made by pushing hair through an industrial sewing machine, which requires several threads to stitch the hair to create the weft. This makes the weft heavy, bulky, and hard to blend. Hand-tied hair employs artisans to handcraft each weft strand by strand. This eliminates the need for multiple threading mechanisms and ensures the highest quality product. This makes hand-tied hair less heavy, more comfortable to wear, and easier to blend.
Very small silicone-lined metal beads are placed in a curved row close to your scalp. The beads stay in place by being clamped closed with a small bit of your hair inside each one. The hand-tied hair is then sewn onto the track of beads. The placement of these rows allows you to very easily pull your hair up without the trouble of hiding the extensions. You are able to shower, sleep, work out, and go about your normal daily life with these extensions without ever needing to remove them. They will stay in your hair until your natural hair grows out and it is time for a move-up (about 8 weeks).

Hi! I’m Shannon. I’ve been in the industry for over 10 years. I attended beauty school in high school and was licensed and working full-time by age 18! I've never thought twice about my career. I always knew it was going to be hair! Since then, I’ve earned an applied science degree in cosmetology and have received formal training in cosmetic chemistry.
I am definitely a teacher at heart. I was even part of the education team for Redken 5th Ave where I would travel the nation training other professionals. It was so much fun! I was named one of the Top 30 Under Thirty by Beauty Launchpad Magazine and have been published in American Salon magazine a couple of times for my colorwork as well as industry magazines and bridal magazines for my wedding styling.
I have 3 different extension certifications under my belt as well as continuous mentoring and masterclasses that I am enrolled in. Furthering my education keeps my passion for extensions burning! I finished my IBE certification in October 2020 and have since earned my Master Technician title and have become an Elite Artist.
