FEATURES

Kitsune hair extensions come in 14", 18", 22", and 24" lengths. They offer 19 custom-created shades. The extensions are able to be perfected with professional hair color for a seamless match from root to tip. They offer three texture variations in straight, wavy, and curly. Endless customizations!

SILICONE FREE

Silicone is often used to make the extension hair "feel good" and masks the true quality of lower caliber extensions. The problem with this is that the silicone will wear off and the lesser quality revealed over time. Kitsune has no need for silicone because the hair itself is of the highest quality. Silicone also has harmful health effects when heated. Blowdrying and iron styling extensions coated with silicone release harmful toxins into the air. We are not okay with that!

SLAVIC HAIR

Most hair extensions on the market are sourced from India and Asia where the hair texture is generally courser and thicker in texture. This is not usually the best match for finer western hair.

OPEN ABOUT ETHICS

The unfortunate truth of the hair extension industry is a lot of times we don’t truly know where the hair comes from. In some cultures, women sacrifice their hair to Gods in a temple and that hair is sold to dealers to return a profit to the temples. The problem with this is the hair is usually collected off of the floor in an unsanitary manner, the hair is a mix of several different women which can cause tangling and unpredictable color results, and the hair is not removed by licensed stylists so we cannot expect them to follow sanitation guidelines with their tools or trust that the women felt dignified during the removal.

When hair is not collected from temples, there have been cases of women being assaulted and literally robbed of their hair against their will. Children are victims of this as well. Or dealers will take advantage of families in poverty and offer them pennies for their hair.

The manufacturing is not much better as in certain countries there are no labor laws protecting children from working in these factories.

Kitsune collects hair from dedicated salons where professionals provide the donors with a dignified experience and each party is compensated fairly. This amount of ethics in an extension company is unreal. We have turned a blind eye to the above issues for far too long and I am proud to support a company fighting against injustice.
