𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝘀𝗼…“𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻?"

This is a great question! Let’s talk “risk”.⁣

All extension methods (clip ins, sew ins [IBE, NBR, habit, Luna], Halos, k-tips, tapes, etc) have some risk. All methods can have an outcome of zero damage or….a lot of damage.⁣

It comes down to a combination of the 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and the care being taken 𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲.⁣

With sew-ins vs clip-ins specifically…⁣

If you are putting in your clip-ins quite often, you 𝘮𝘢𝘺 be better off with having an experienced extension specialist professionally instal hand-tied wefts. Here’s why..⁣

I employ a solid track foundation. Meaning there are no gaps in the track. Which is ideal for maximum support and 𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 of the wefts (just one of several ways I take the stress off of your natural hair and scalp.) On the contrary, clip-ins have maybe 4 or 5 clips supporting the wefts on a row. (Something to keep in mind is that they do spread out the total weight across more rows..which could be a pro or a con) but what those spaced out clips do is 𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 the weight on just small points on your head. ⁣

Another con to clip-ins is the clips themselves. Overtime, teasing and clipping repeatedly can lead to 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮.⁣

If you’re only wearing your clip-ins 𝘰𝘤𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 (maybe once or twice a month), I would venture to say you probably aren’t going to cause a lot of damage during those isolated events! As long as you are keeping your sections clean and teasing gently so you are able to brush out the tease easily when you go to take them out 👌🏻 ⁣

But, if you have ever wished you could wake up with great hair every single day with 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘭 effort and not have to worry about applying your clip ins every time you want to feel fancy 💃🏼, you might consider reaching out and seeing if what I offer could work for you!
